This should be a bucket-list location to paddle for everyone in Chilliwack! Our lakes tend to get a lot of the love, but our slough network in late spring/early summer is spectacular! With kilometers and kilometers to explore, there is something new to check out around every bend. The high water makes this a really enjoyable paddle and adds to the adventure when your working your way over, under and around the bridges spanning the waterway.
Tour Length: 2 hours
Cost: $50plus GST ($70 if gear is required)
This experience introduces paddlers to the idea of touring on your SUP and will take you around the shores of Cultus Lake. The dryland component will cover decision making, trip planning and gear for touring (necessary and recommended), while the on-water component will cover choosing/altering routes, efficient movement in varying water conditions, and group dynamics.
Tour Length: 3 hours
Cost: $79 plus GST
These tours occur every fall when the salmon start to run and the eagles come in to over winter. The group puts in out front of the Harrison Hot Springs Hotel and paddles over to the mouth of the Harrison River. From here, paddlers will enjoy a relaxed pace paddle down river, soaking up the sights and sounds of the Harrison. On route, you could expect to paddle over schools of spawning salmon, check out some of the river bank’s First Nation’s petroglyphs, see countless bald eagles and even run into the odd harbour seal or river otter. World class wildlife viewing right at our doorstep.
Prerequisite gear list will be sent to registered participants.
Tour Length: 6+ hours
Cost: $159 plus GST
